It’s a rock, it’s a color block… No, it’s a transformed book.   And you can open them.  Catch them at Affordable Art Fair, NYC this weekend.

I know, I know, just 2 weeks in and I’m already breaking the new years resolution and bought these new yarns. But since it was cold this weekend, I had to get something warm for hoodie cowl. Will share progress with hoodie next post.

Finally finished blanket in time for cold weekend. Knitted in woven stitch which took time but well worth it! The double woven result adds great warmth.
Yarn used for this project is 3 skeins of “Luxe Alpaca” by Woodstock knits in avocado color. (100% superfine Peruvian alpaca. Approx 660 yd)
You can find this lovely yarn from Annie and company in new York.

Next—-couple of finishing for hats and bags, will post soon

The Purl Bee is always full of full great projects.  What a great year of inspirations, can’t wait to see what 2012 will hold!

For new year, I resolve to use up my yarn stash.  Better start an inventory to see what’s what.  I’ll start here with Misti Alpaca.
